To register, you must have a mobile phone number. If you do not have a mobile phone, you can use someone else’s mobile phone (e.g. a family member, friend, carer or neighbour). Only those who do not have a mobile phone number should register by calling 0800 555 655.

When you attend your vaccination appointments, please bring the following full documents:

▪ Swiss health insurance card
▪ Identity card or passport
▪ Vaccination record (if you have one)
▪ Cross-border commuters only: Cross-border commuter certificate
▪ Booster vaccination: Please also bring proof of vaccination (1st/2nd vaccinations), e.g. the vaccination certificate
▪ Vaccine switch: People under 30 years of age are recommended by the Swiss Federal Commission for Immunisation Questions (EKIF) to preferentially be vaccinated with Pfizer's vaccine. If you would like a vaccine switch for your booster vaccination, please follow the instructions here.

If you have any issues with registration or the vaccination appointment, or if you need any other support, please call us on the following toll-free number: 0800 555 655. You can also visit our FAQ page or send us your questions by email:

The vaccination comprises two separate doses, and you will receive both appointments by SMS. The second dose will be given after approx. four weeks. You will have full protection about a week after the second dose.

Please do not come to your vaccination appointment if you have any of the following symptoms: Fever/feeling feverish, cough, sore throat, loss of taste/smell, or are feeling unwell. If you cannot keep your appointment, please use the link you were sent to cancel or postpone it.

On the day, please bring your health insurance card and your identity card/passport. This will enable us to verify your place of residence. If you do not bring these documents, you cannot be vaccinated.

For booster vaccinations, please bring proof of vaccinations with you (i.e. Vaccination Certificate).

Are you less than 30 years of age?
Swissmedic and the Federal Commission for Vaccination (FCV) continuously evaluate the latest data and immediately adjust the authorisations and vaccination recommendations in the event of a change in the situation. Currently, for persons who would like to be vaccinated with an mRNA vaccine and who are under 30 years of age, the Corona vaccination as well as the booster vaccination are preferentially recommended with the vaccine Comirnaty ® from the manufacturer BioNTech Pfizer. The reason is that the very rare vaccination side effect of pericarditis occurs slightly more frequently in 12 to 29 year olds than in the older population (Spikevax /Moderna: about 19 cases per 100,000 vaccinations, Comirnaty /Pfizer/Biontech) about 6 cases per 100,000 vaccinations): The course is practically always benign.

The vaccination centre is run by Centramed. In addition to the medical staff who administer the vaccination, a doctor will also be available to answer your questions.

Prior to your visit at the vaccination centre in Hall 4 of the Congress Center Basel (Messeplatz 21), please read through the most recent information about Corona virus vaccination from the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH).
